** Fingers Crossed **

Sportsnet is reporting, according to a 'report in the Sun' that Smytty has been offered a deal between a 4-6 year deal for approximately $5 million a season. Sounds like he'll be looking it over today. $5 million is less than I would expect Smyth would sign for, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Personally, I'll hold off joy until it's been confirmed he's signed.

Dude.
*shakes head*
I still don't understand how you like both AB teams. Why not choose one or the other? Please explain this to me...

Ha ha. I am quite the abnormality but it has always been this way. My mom was an Oilers fan, and Wayne Gretzky was always my personal hero. My dad was a Flames fan, and my living in Calgary explains my love for the Flames.

I cannot express in words the heartbreak the two previous Playoffs have caused me.

On the other hand, they were both probably very exciting right up till the bitter end.

MG: Unbelievably. Memories that stick out
a) being at the dome for the OT series clinch against Detroit. I have never been that happy in my life/
b) Fernando Pisani scoring shorthanded in OT game 5 in Carolina.

walkinvisible: Lundmark was a project that didn't have a lot of cost, but had a potentially large payout (ala Huselius). It didn't pan out, but I think you and Sutter were right in that Lundmark was a guy worth trying out at least.

Good enough reasons, I suppose. If someone offered you a billion dollars to choose though, who would it be or would you forgo the cash? And they would put an implant in your brain to know if you were still secretly hoping for the other team.

HG: It's like asking a mother which child she loves more...the answer changes day to day depending on whose being more frustrating at the time!
