I would say the biggest non-member of note is Brendan Mikkelson whom I touted as being a top defender the other night. Obviously there were only two defensive spots open and his chances were slim, but I thought he had a step over both Franson and Alzner (assuming all the returnees would make it). While Pierre Maguire agreed with me, the Team Canada coaching staff clearly did not.
