Jarret Stoll - "Stolly"

A heart and soul guy, Stoll was a former Captain Canada in the World Junior Championship. Has matured from a 4th line utility player into a versatile two way player with a wide range of talents. Is an excellent PKer, faceoff man and has an excellent one timer from the point. Plays with good energy and has a decent amount of physicality. Could improve on his speed, and scoring consistency. Given the right linemates Stoll might be a 30 goal man.

Captain material... just not yet.
Thought we were just beginning to see his next level before he was put out of commision last season. Like the older vets, I feel he gives his all until the very last second of the game.

Good play, rather young though. I would hope he becomes team captain at one point in his career.

He's potentially captain next. At some point it's going to be his and Horcoff's team (if they don't move on...)

I watched Stoll from his 16-year-old to 18-year-old seasons in Cranbrook and know what he brings — he's absolutely captain material. I'm still angry the Flames let him go, though the backwards way it led to Lombardi being in Calgary soothes the pain just a bit.

I can't remember if Edmonton retaliated for the Lombardi signing or if Calgary retaliated for the Stoll signing.

I've kinda coveted Lombardi (that speed!) after all that, but now we have Cogs :-)
